RAPID NEUROLOGY CLINIC
Our rapid neurology assessment clinic is intended for urgent evaluations of neurological problems.
Stroke occurs when the brain stops working because of a blood clot blocking its blood flow, or from bleeding into the brain.
Kelowna General Hospital provides regional care for stroke patients and hosts an outpatient clinic for patients with transient ischemic attack (TIA) and stroke.
Epilepsy is the tendency for recurrent seizures. Kelowna General Hospital provides diagnostic services including electroencephalography (EEG). Some patients with seizures are seen in the Rapid Neurology Clinic. Community neurology clinics also provide care for epilepsy patients.
